Jason was always the strictly business type. He was all about work and getting ahead in life. His father, Mr. Campbell, was partly to blame for that. He had always pushed Jason to succeed in everything. In school however, Jason would have much rather explore his options amongst school clubs. He loved music and wanted so badly to be a part of the band. His father said band wouldn’t provide him a great future. Instead he forced him to join the debate team. After a while, he began to like debating. In some instances, it was his outlet when he needed to release some things that bothered him.
He was never one to keep a girlfriend. He had a couple of flings back in high school, nothing too serious though. The only serious relationship he ever had was with Ava Singleton. Ava was one of the prettiest girls in high school. She would always win best-dressed and other girls envied her. Ava and Jason made the cutest couple. Jason was a hot topic in high school as well. They began dating their freshman year into law school. The relationship came to a tragic end when Ava was involved in a bad car accident that eventually took her life. He hadn’t ventured into another “serious” relationship since.
He usually looked for someone with the same amount of ambition as he had. However, his search would only find him the one night stands and gold diggers. He was getting to the point in his life where he wanted more. He wanted to roll over to that beautiful human specimen with beautiful eyes that encapsulated the realm of joy and peace he so desired. He wanted to know what it felt like to give love and have it returned to him so genuinely that every moment was filled with thoughts of missing the love of his life. But would he ever step away from work long enough to find that special someone? Did she even exist? Was he looking for a replica of Ava?
Shea picked up her cell phone at the end of a wonderful photoshoot of a bride to be. She read a text message from Kayla, “Hey Shea Bear, Jason and I are getting together for drinks tonight. JOIN US. See you at the pub around 6:30. Smooches.”
Shea placed the phone down on a glass shelf she has that holds some of her photography to display to potential clients. She exhaled while passing her hands through her hair. She hadn’t really panned on going out, but what would a little quality time with friends hurt?
She picked up the phone, typed a message to Kayla. “See you there.” Just as she was getting ready to hit the send button, she heard the bell attached to the studio door chime. She looked up and she couldn’t help but lose her breath;she swallowed hard like she was taking her last gulp of life. There stood this ravishing good looking male, tall, I mean, 6’3 tall with very broad shoulders, and intense muscles that equated his body type to fit a body builder or some sort of sports jock. He possessed the prettiest crystal blue eyes that gleamed a glimpse of heaven when she locked eyes with him.
“Good Afternoon, sir, I’m…”
“Shea.” He responded. “Hi, I’m Bentley Agustus. I was told by a few of the folks in town that you could help me out with a superb portfolio.”
His voice was so deep and mature. “Well, Mr. Agustus, it’s nice to meet you and I could definitely help you out with that. What type of portfolio are you building?”
“Please, Shea, call me Bentley. Mr. Agustus makes me sound like some old retired fart with loads of cash stashed away. He chuckled. However, I’m trying to get into modeling, do you think we could set up something for a photoshoot?”
“Bentley, we could definitely do that. I also think you’ll do very well with modeling. How’s Wednesday? 9:30 early enough for you?”
“Works perfectly for me. See you then Shea. Thank you.”
Just as quickly as the walking bill board for heaven entered the studio, he walked out. Shea couldn’t believe the amazing body the guy had. His face wasn’t bad either. He had the deepest dimples that accented his eyes and facial hair to a tee. His dark, curly hair was also a plus. But God did he smell good. Shea had never gotten so worked up over a guy before.
She remembered the text message she was about to send Kayla. She hit send, and sent another message right after. “Girl, I just saw the sexiest guy alive. I almost wanted to faint. Tell you more later. Toodles.”
Sorry for the delay. See you Next Week.
