How to Battle Excessive Thoughts

Our thoughts can be the most dangerous weapon we hold against ourselves. Whether these thoughts are stemmed from negativity or not, they can literally consume ones life.

It’s crazy how one never realizes all the different Scenarios of past experiences that could have went different ways. Constant overthinking can lead to the failure of relationships, self confidence, and alter your trust levels.

Sometimes a walk in the park isn’t what one needs to break the cycle of those thoughts. Try enaging in dialogue with peers. This seems to give the brain a break from wondering and wandering. Engage in physical activity.

Whatever you do, make sure you are giving your brain time to settle down. Try not to think the worse of situations.

Most importantly, Don’t forget to exhale love.

I am a 2010 Mass Communication and Journalism graduate (BA) of Southeastern Louisiana University. I am also a 2016 English and Creative Writing Graduate (MA) of Southern New Hampshire University. I value words like no other. Words seem to pour out the depths of my soul of which I as a human have not yet dared to venture to. I appreciate pen, because it reaches beyond the boundaries that have been set by my more humanly self. I'm in love with paper or a blank screen, because it is the most beautiful canvas ever created by man.
